Jan 31st – Day of Prayers

I enjoy Fridays in Kabul.  Life is more relaxed for the Kabulis who all go out for a stroll. For their part, UN employees still go to work even on their only day off.

Jan 24th – 27th – Long, long journey

I left Toronto on Friday evening and made it to Kabul on Monday afternoon.  On Sunday, our Flight Dubai-Kabul was delayed, then delayed, then delayed, then cancelled, due to a snow storm in Kabul.  On Monday our flight was delayed due to fog in Kabul, but the plane finally took off and we arrived in mid-afternoon in Kabul.
