Playing the fourth end, the opposition (red) stole a point to go up 6 - 0. I asked Bud if he wanted to quit and he felt he needed the practice. To start the 5th, the opposition put up a centre guard which we came around to top 12. Red drew to the back of the 12 and we (Blue) came around to top 12. Red ticked and rolled out and Blue split to lie 3 across the T line. Red ticked again and rolled out and Blue drew to the outside 12. Red missed the next two and Blue tapped the back Red out and drew to the outside rings. Red skip's first rock attempted a double on the outside two blues but found the hole. Blue skip drew to the back 8 on the side. This left Blue lying 7 with shot rock open on the side of the 4. Red attempted a freeze on shot rock but tapped and rolled in the open. Blue had to hit left of centre to avoid a jam in the back and soft enough not to roll out of the rings. Shot made and Blue counted 8.
The opposition scored 2 in the 6th but we took 5 in the 7th and they shook hands. Thank God.
Our lead was a late scratch as her children were very sick so there were only 3 of us.
