We scored our eight ender on the sixth end of our Friday night Corporate Curling League game.

We had some rocks in the house, guarded by one of our own rocks and a couple of opposition rocks. The opposition had a rock at the back of the house but it was just a biter. The opposition's Mate, while trying a come-around shot to freeze on rocks we had at the back of the four foot ring, raised our guard into the twelve foot ring with her last rock. When I went down to throw my first rock, we were counting six.

I intended to put my first rock onto the top of the twelve foot ring to guard against the freeze, but slid onto the edge of the four foot ring, wide open. The opposition Skip tried to take that rock out and roll onto the button, freezing onto us behind guards, but was wide and missed it.

I put my last rock onto the top twelve, but it wasn't guarding my previous rock, so the opposition Skip adjusted his ice and tried again to hit and roll and again missed.

We retired to the Lounge for drinks.
