Our 8 ender happened during play in our Seniors Wednesday Morning League. Playing the third end we were down 2 – 0 and I asked for rocks out front which just happened to slip into the rings. Some of the opposing stones ended up guarding some of ours and after a few attempted hits went awry we were lying 6 after third rocks came to rest. The opposing skips first rock attempt to hit and roll behind cover actually rubbed ours further behind safety and his last rock over curled and came up short trying to freeze into a cluster. I was left with an open draw for the final point. My last thoughts were “don’t be light” so of course I came out a tad heavy. Thankfully the rock rubbed off one of ours and came to rest safely in the 12 foot. What a happy day for all of us.
