The 8-ender occurred in the Monday Night Men's League during the 6th end of play. No one is really sure how things got to the point where red was sitting six with last rock. The opposing skip had an opportunity to come in off of the rock on the edge of the 8 foot but his first attempt over curled. Godward then put another rock on the opposite side of the house to lie 7. The opposition then attempted the hit and roll but once again over curled and went through the hole. Paul Godward then simply drew to the front of the house for the 8 ender.
