This Martensville team scored their 8-ender at the North Battleford Curling Club, Saskatchewan.
It was the second end of our first game in the North Battleford 82nd Annual Mens Open Bonspiel. We were down 1-0 with hammer. They threw up a centre guard and we started putting rocks behind it. A couple of key raises from us and a couple rubs on the centre guard by them left their skip with a freeze into a pocket on the 4 foot. He was maybe a foot heavy and opened up the pocket enough that we could just squeeze their rock through the opening to score our eight. Skipper says it was the most stress he'd ever felt from throwing last rock and I could tell - he was very shaky on the release.
