Trenton Curling Club

During regular Cash League play, Bill Hope, Jim Marshall and Paul MacDonald scored 8 points in the fourth end, playing red rocks on sheet one. We had to call someone to bring in a camera - there was no film in the camera in the club!
Fifteen minutes later, as a camera was being brought in to record the event, Jerry Whyte, Martin Gauthier, Steve Orr and Dale King scored 8 points on sheet 4, also shooting red rocks. They were playing their fifth end after having briefly stopped to watch all the excitement on sheet 1.
It was the first 8-ender for everyone except Jim Marshall, and the first in a Trenton curling club in about 10 years. The games were part of the regular Shoppers Drug Mart Cash League, and the two games ended when the 8's were scored. Hope won his game 10-3, and Whyte won his 11-2.
