It was the 5th end. We were leading 7-4 and had the hammer.

We kept putting our rocks in the house. Opposing skip's rink kept trying to freeze to our stones and continually threw wide and heavy. On their last shot, they chipped out their only rock in the house while trying to make a run back . Ron Manson drew for the eighth counter.

When I went to throw my second or third shot and all our rocks were in the house, one red stone was on the right front of the house in front of one of our stones in the top four. I joked to Glenn that I didn't know how we would get that stone out to get an eight-ender. That was the stone that they chipped out.
