During the first end of a Monday 9:00 PM draw of Lethbridge's Open League, Gord McDonald and his team of Trina McDonald, Nikki LeBleu and Shawn LeBleu scored an 8-ender against the Jeff Smith foursome. Being only their second year into curling, it wasn't until the game was over that the McDonald team realised they had done something special. This Monday night Open League was established for new curlers to the club and novices.
