During the OCA playdown "B" final at the Burlington Golf & Curling Club, Team McLeod out of Brant Curling Club, Brantford, Ontario, Canada scored their 8-ender. The eight was scored in the 6th end with the hammer. Team McLeod went on to win the game in 8 ends and advanced to the Mission Hill Winery Senior Women's Provincial Championships to be held in Meaford, ON January 8-13, 2002.
