Above is a photograph of the 8-ender we scored in the consolation round of the ARC Men's Curling Club playdowns. It was very exciting and I can't believe Terry (skip - Terry Mitchell) could calm his heart and throw the last rock when the opportunity was suddenly available.
Below is part of the email that the club president, Jack Mortson, sent around after we scored. One does not usually hear a lot of banging on the lounge glass during play - he may have been more excited than we were.

In the second round of our playoffs tonight a team scored an 8 ender!!!!
This is definitely worthy of an email to all our teams.
I have forwarded this to Gail at the Rec. Centre and the executive of the ARC Curling Board as well.I have also cc'd this to SACA and a member of their board (Dave Henderson).
It was very exciting and although we did not have a camera available I did have the team draw the position of the rocks so we can stage a photograph.
Should we not include this in the ARC newsletter or on the ARC website? Is this something that should be archived?
I know I ramble on a bit.....but this is the first 8 ender I have witnessed and I have been curling for 42 years....and it did happen at the ARC and it was in league Playdowns.
I feel we need to recognize this accomplishment....as a golfer....I know several people who have managed a hole in one.....as a curler....well...I think this is even more special.
