Our 8-ender was scored in the 6th end of in-club qualifying match for Paris Curling Club's annual Men's Marchfest bonspiel. The Pappas rink was leading 6-2 going into sixth end of eight end match and the opposition rink needed to create some opportunities to score as Pappas had the hammer in the 6th. If opposition was unable to steal, the teams would probably have shook hands. Pappas rink had 6 rocks in the house & opposition skip's last rock tapped the 7th Pappas rock into the house while attempting to come around to bury. This left Pappas with an open hit & stay for the eight.

Tom said "I've been curling 40 years & never been close. I hope it doesn't take another 40".
