Gord Parkers mixed rink scored an eight ender in the third end of their Friday night mixed ladder game. Playing yellow rocks, and leading 4 to 1 in the game (with the hammer), he decided to try to win the eight ender rather than draw to score three points in the third end. He had to throw a raise takeout using one of his rocks, which was scoring in the four foot ring, to remove an opponents stone sitting 4th shot in the back eight foot ring. His shooter, meanwhile, had to angle off this raised rock and remove the other red rock which was sitting as 3rd shot in the eight foot ring on the other side of the house. The shot was called, thrown, well swept, and successful. It was a first for everyone on the rink.
