This 8-ender was recorded on February 21, 2001 by the Piekarski rink curling in the Nipissing District Athletics (NDA) Secondary School Bonspiel. The Piekarski rink attends St. Joseph - Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School in North Bay, Ontario, Canada and was playing in the championship game against a rink from Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. The 8-ender was in the second end of an eventual 12-1 triumph to win the bonspeil. The rink has curled together now for 3 years and has won the city (NDA) championship 3 times. They will be together for one more year next year.

The girls all curl out of the Powassan Curling Club (a small town just south of North Bay) but they don't curl as a team there. The only time all four curl together is for the school team at St. Joseph - Scollard Hall. The skip, Anna Piekarski, also curls out of the Granite Club in North Bay.
