On the afternoon of this day, the team's regular lead arrived home from the Brier in Regina with a terrible cold. The skip's husband, who had also been in Regina, was conscripted on a few hours notice to play that night in the Monday Ladies League. It was a close game up to the point of the 8-ender but when the opposition's skip wrecked on a guard, it gave our skip a (nerve-wracking) draw to the rings for eight.
Of course she threw it perfectly!
