It was the 8th and last end of a game in our Wednesday night Ladies League. We were up 4 without the hammer. When our skip went to throw her last rock, she was just planning on throwing a guard to block the right side of the house (looking from the hack). Our vice shouted down that we were lying 6 and suggested trying to split on a rock that was just short of the rings on the far left side of the sheet. Lo and behold, she made the split to lay 8. The opposing skip tried to throw a hit at the two rocks that were lying off the centre line but tossed it out a bit. It floated on her,so we ended up stealing eight!
