Barry Harvie, "Santa was particularly favorable to Bob Simpson, Brenda Tymchuk, Crusty Krumm and Maureen Fraser who scored a perfect eight-ender in the third end of their match with last years "miracle runner" Tim Wells. Wells, with teammates Sandy Cuthbert, Paul Belanger and Ann Cox could only stand by helplessly and watch the final Simpson stone draw perfectly into the four-foot circle for the exceptional accomplishment. In true curler sportsmanship fashion, it was Wells who was the first to congratulate Simpson and his squad for their feat."
