This 8-ender was scored during the opening end of the opening draw of the Plunkett Open Bonspiel at the Plunkett Curling Club, Plunkett, Saskatchewan. This small town curling rink is situated on highway #16 (The Yellowhead Route) about 50 miles east of Saskatoon.
This is a team of 3 brothers and a second cousin. Marv, Mike, and Jerry are members of the Humbaldt Curling Club while Pat curls out of Saskatoon.
This is the first 8-ender for a rink that has over 150 years of combined curling experience.
