Pictured from left are Lary Trites (skip), Judy MacLeod (vice), Albert Guay (second), Ann
Hubert (lead)
The Team Trites 8-ender was achieved on November 30, 2000 during mixed curling at the Sackville Curling Club, Sackville, New Brunswick during play in the 4th end. With 7 rocks in the house opposing skip, Kathleen Trites, placed her final rock into the four foot in front of the T-line and behind two front guards. She was now counting one. To achieve his eight, husband Lary Trites, had to make a come around take out and save the shooter. As fate would prevail, the shot was made. Lary went on to win the game but his wife is filing for divorce ......just joking.
Special notes.
The lead, Ann Hubert, was also the lead on the Lysle Allen Team
of 1999 which also had an 8 ender. Rumour has it Ann has been offered big $$$ to play on
other teams.
For Albert Guay, it was just his third time curling. Way to go Albert!!!!
