It was the first end of the Ladies Monday Afternoon League Regular Games. The team consisted of Skip, Janis Veneziale; Vice, Isabel Arnold; Second, Margaret Hull; and Lead, Sheila Longstreet. We had the hammer. It was time for my last rock and as I was walking away from the house, I noticed that we had 7 rocks in. They had two - one in the 12 foot at the front, and the other in the 12 foot at the back. I don't think anyone was aware until then.
I took another look and figured, because the front rock was inside the 12 foot by about 4 inches, that if I could hit the top red rock on the right angle and send it back on the other red, they spit and both roll out. I needed to make my shooter stick for the eight. Well, it was our lucky day. It worked!!!!
