Our team consisting of Ruth Eyers (lead), Chris Langeder (second), Line Paquette (vice) and Susan Wehling (skip)  got an 8-ender while playing in our Women's Tuesday Night League. We were actually down in the 5th end 5-1. Our usual strategy when we are down in a game is to put as many rocks in play as possible to try and score at least two points and get ourselves back in the game. We certainly did that on Tuesday!!! I really didn't realize that we had 7 rocks counting until the opposing skip went down to throw her last rock. We had the hammer. My only thought at that time was that we should still maintain at least two of our rocks after her throw and I would have a draw for the 3rd point. As it turned out, the opposing skip threw slightly heavy grazing off one of the rocks in the house. We were left with a draw to the eight foot for our 8th point. I never said a word to the sweepers except to tell them my rock had to be full 8 foot - a very nerve wracking throw since I had not been curling particularly well that night.
