Van Morrison

Brown-eyed girls—and boys—will experience the songs of Van Morrison in a whole new way when the "paragon of blue-eyed soul" takes to the illustrious Hummingbird Centre stage on July 5.
A staple on the arena circuit, Van Morrison himself selected the Hummingbird —an intimate venue that allows the master singer-songwriter to connect with his audience and lead them on his poetic and
spiritually inspired musical journeys.
Van Morrison is a one-of-a-kind icon who has been following his muse for over 40 years. A true innovator, he has explored soul, jazz, blues, rock & roll,
Celtic, folk, and more in his more than 40 solo albums released since 1968. Throughout his five-decade career, he has influenced many popular musical artists, such as U2, Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp,
Jim Morrison, and Jimi Hendrix.
U2's Bono once paid tribute to Van Morrison by saying "America has the legendary Jim Morrison, and Ireland has the legendary Van Morrison." He continues to win
whole new generations of music fans as an artist of unrivalled integrity and vision, and as one of the most important songwriters of the past century.
In 1993, he was inducted into the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame, where it was said: "like Bob Dylan, he was one of the first lyricists in rock and roll who was unaftraid to expose the spiritual and poetical sides of his being."
