Free Flicks At Harbourfront
:: The popular Free Flicks outdoor
film series re-launches at Harbourfront Centre. This year Fido Free Flicks presents Unleashed - a series of films that are sure to have viewers questioning who they are, who they should be, and who they're expected to
be. Keeping with Harbourfront Centre's summer festival theme of BORDERS, these films revolve around characters that cross the line of what may be considered 'acceptable' behaviour and modify the definition of a rebel.
Every Tuesday evening beginning July 8 through to August 12, Fido Free Flicks presents rebellious, boundary-pushing films on the SIRIUS Satellite Radio Stage big screen. All films begin at 9 p.m., are free
admission, and are screened rain or shine unless otherwise specified. (Full schedule follows)

The Salsa In Toronto Festival
(formerly Salsa On St. Clair) :: The Salsa on St. Clair Street Festival shot onto the event scene like a cannon in 2005 uniting diverse cultures that share the passion and love for Latin culture.
The Festival has attracted over 750,000 revelers to the streets of Toronto since its launch. This year, TLN Television, the City of Toronto, Hillcrest Village BIA, and Ontario Place have joined forces to make Canada's
most successful Latino street festival even bigger. Salsa on St. Clair will be transformed into the Salsa in Toronto Festival and include multiple destinations during a week which has been traditionally recognized as
Latino Week in Toronto in honour of the festival. Salsa in Toronto Festival highlights include the inaugural all-day Salsa at Ontario Place on Thursday July 10 and the 4th annual Salsa on St. Clair Street
Festival on Saturday July 12 between Noon and 11pm and Sunday July 13 from Noon to 8pm in midtown Toronto just west of Bathurst Street.

The largest outdoor art exhibition in Canada, the Annual Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition serves as a fresh-air alternative to conventional art shows and galleries. The Toronto Burlesque Festival

The Toronto Burlesque Festival is an exciting three-day whirlwind of bump 'n grind and a unique opportunity to experience the best of burlesque and variety entertainment. Talent is drawn from juried applications. The Festival is the perfect introduction to a classic art form that is enjoying an enthusiastic revival.
The weekend kicks off with a cocktail reception and gallery exhibit called Ready for Take Off! The venue for this opening soirée is the Melody and Art Bars at The Gladstone Hotel. Local artists will exhibit
selections of their work that best reflect the theme, and Toronto designers have donated beautiful custom-made bras for Silent Auction. All proceeds will go to Boobalicious, a local organization that raises funds for
The Weekend To End Breast Cancer. The Opening Gala takes place at the Gladstone Hotel Ballroom, immediately following the Cocktail Hour. The event will be hosted by the fabulous Majenta Butterfly, and will
feature performances by headliner Michelle L'Amour (Miss Exotic World 2005), and musical guests Alistair Christl and the Swinging Chandeliers. Saturday night, the Party moves to Little Italy for The
Burlesque Ball at The Mod Club. Hosted by New York Boylesque sensation Tigger! (Mr. Exotic World 2006), the sensational lineup includes guest stars Michelle L'Amour, Penny Starr Jr. (1st Runner-Up Miss Exotic World
2004), Dirty Martini (Miss Exotic World 2004) and pole dancing dynamos Gravity Plays Favourites. The House Band for the evening is Blue Mercury Coupe. Burlesque fans can then nurse their hangovers in the Queen
West area at the Sunday afternoon Tiki Brunch. The Cadillac Lounge will be home to an all-star lineup featuring performances from Dirty Martini and event hosts The Wet Spots. The event also features Surf Rock

Caribana 2008
:: Every summer, Toronto revs up with
the excitement of calypso, steel pan and elaborate masquerade costumes during the annual Caribana Festival and Parade. Celebrating its 39th anniversary, the festival is the largest Caribbean festival in North America.
Among the highlights is the Caribana Parade, one of the largest in North America. Thousands of brilliantly costumed masqueraders and dozens of trucks carrying live soca, calypso, steel pan, reggae and salsa
artists jam the 1.5 km parade route all day, to the delight of hundreds of thousands of onlookers. Other key events include the King and Queen of the Bands Competition and the two-day Olympic Island Caribbean
Arts Festival. Outdoor concerts of Caribbean music, calypso harbour cruise parties and glamourous dances round out the entertainment roster.
