Volume 11, 1994

Bansuri
was a yearly journal devoted to the music and dance of India. It was published by Raga-Mala Performing Arts of Canada. From its inception in 1984 until the tenth issue it was edited by Dr Jagannath Wani in Calgary.

From issue 11 to 13, Bansuri was edited by James Kippen with assistance from John Campana, and the journal was completely redesigned by Eric Parker.

Bansuri's aims were to include items on all subjects, from scholarly research to personal profiles, interviews, reports, reviews or matters of topical interest, whether from India or in the Diaspora.

The Raga-Mala Performing Arts of Canada organization ceased most of its activities, including the funding of Bansuri, in 1996, and no further issues were possible. It is our hope that something like this will again be possible in the future, perhaps through an online journal.

All articles from these three issues are available as pdfs for download.
