Oct 3/01 — Jacquie: Discouraged

Unfortunately, I don't have much to report. Running has been tough for me this past two weeks. I am still struggling with a new routine at a new location and trying to get back into the weights again. I've only been out 4 times and I have decided to get back to my old goal of running for at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week. I did weights for the first time last Sunday and was surprised that the ache that I normally get after doing weights for the first time in a while was suspiciously absent. This was a good sign.

I'm feeling a bit discouraged about running but I am refusing to give up. The runs themselves are not hard but trying to get there, coordinate babysitting and feeling like I have a routine that is sustainable seems so hard to get to. I'm hoping not to slip too far away from running but to be perfectly honest, it's been a real possibility lately.

You Penguins have been the thread that has kept me tied to my goals so far. So thanks for being out there!
