Tuesday, October 15, 2002
Post-group run feed at T.K.O's restaurant with visiting Penguin, John from Newcastle. John [second from right] also ran the Canadian International Marathon on Oct 20 in 3:57! From L to R: Glenn, Tracey, Dimetre, Kate, Tracy, Jerry, John and Lauren. Marcella and Lynn participate in our largest group run ever!

Before: Marcella and Lynn pose for the camera, post-run. After: Hey! What's going on here?! Morning Coffee with the Cravens from Rochester!
Sunday, October 14, 2001
From L to R: Jim Craven, Toronto Penguin Glenn and Maggie McEwen-Craven. No running this day. Just coffee and talk at the Westin Harbour Castle overlooking the Toronto Islands ferry docks. We look forward to seeing the Cravens at next year's Penguin World Conference. Mary D from Michigan goes (Toronto) Island hopping!
Sunday, October 7, 2001
From L to R: Glenn, Kathryn, Mary D, Kelly, Nathan in stroller. After a couple days hiking with Kathryn, Mary D graced us with her presence. We decided to take her to one of the prettiest places in the whole city: The Toronto Islands. Notice everyone bundled up? The sun shone bright, but the wind chill that day was fierce!
Kathryn, Glenn and Mary D relax at Percy Parkette, Algonquin Island. A large part of the Islands' charm is that people still live there year-round. Percy Parkette was named after one of those residents. Jane from Charlotte runs our biggest race!

Penguins Celebrate with Jane Fraytet!
Toronto Penguins following the end of the Scotiabank Half-Marathon last September. From L to R: Liesha, Glenn, Tracy, Jane (visiting from Charlotte), Jo P, Kelly, Jo M, Maureen and Myra. Photo taken by Danny.
Jane picked the perfect time to visit the Toronto Penguins: the heart of our fall race season. The Scotiabank Half-Marathon is arguably Toronto's biggest race, in hype and in numbers (e.g., Kenyans show up to run this one). We also had several Toronto Penguins run this race, which started and finished in front of the historic Flatiron Building. Situated at the point where Front and Wellington Streets merge, the building is shaped like a huge cheese wedge. A large Penguin cheering section brought in every runner and we finished the encounter with breakfast at C'est What? Julia visits the Great White North

From L to R: Maria (Julia's coworker), Linda, Julia, Liesha and Glenn. Using work as an excuse to visit (just kidding!), we were delighted to have Julia from Quincy, Mass., drop by. This day, we had an evening group run on the wooden boardwalk that parallels Lake Ontario.
We followed the run with Greek food at Karas restaurant, a Toronto Penguin hangout. Tracy (far left) joined us for dinner. Josh does Toronto!
Sunday, June 4, 2000
Josh from Illinois drops into town as part of his cross-country trip across Canada. He's studying transportation on scholarship, so he starts in Montreal and two weeks later, finishes in Vancouver. During this group run, we happen upon a 5K race in progress. Josh is eager to register, but unfortunately, we're late and have to settle for breakfast instead. He would've smoked them anyway!
From L to R: Kelly, Joseph and son, Glenn and Josh.
