Who Is He?

Here is one possible snapshot of me: I am a writer and musician, currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Passions include alt- and art-rock, travel, walking, cycling, home recording, recovery, mysticism and spirituality, sustainable transportation, the Toronto Argonauts, and plastering my apartment with old 45s. It's so distant that it may as well be a previous lifetime, but nevertheless I once earned an MA in Sociology from York University.

Artist, dreamer, visionary, and (mostly) happy eccentic, I've almost finished my first book, Leilani's Gift, and have completed journalling and research for a second, the baseball-themed Season Pass. As for my musical activities, from 1989 to 1998 I was bassist/keyboardist/vocalist for Sour Landslide. After releasing Postcards From Midnight in 2004 under the Boys In The Wood name, I've recently reunited with my former bandmates in The Benvereens, an alt-country/folk-rock combo.

I'm a Libra who worships the great god of balance. That may sound sombre and boring, but trust me, it's not without its wacky aspects. As one of my horoscopes once put it, "They say there are two sides to every story. Your standard response is, 'Whatonly two?'"
