As I mentioned, I felt scared from the moment I walked in. And for some reasons, most of the doors had both human, and dog claw marks on them. I remember telling my Mom I didn't want to live in the house because it was scary. But my feelings fell upon deaf ears. Children are particularly susceptible to sensing or seeing spirits, entities and feeling negative energies. I suppose it's because we aren't taught about them, so we aren't conditioned to think they aren't real, or don't exist. I got used to the rush of negativity that was so strong, it literally hit you the second you entered the house. I remember how anytime I had someone over to play, they would eventually get this odd look on their face, and find some reason to leave, usually not too long after they got there. It got to the point where none of my friends would come over anymore!

Looking back, the house was so...well...haunted, that it bordered on ridiculous. As the house was large, and only myself and my Mom lived there, I had an entire attic floor to myself. It had 3 rooms, and I moved from one room to the next trying to get away from various energies and entities. In one room, the spirit of a large dog lived there. It was almost like having a real dog. I could feel him pressed against me as I slept. I was very pleasant, and I sometimes woke mornings to the feeling of him licking my cheek. I also felt a grumpy male spirit that was always staring out the window, looking for something. That I could live with...for a while. As I completely ignored the male entity at the window, he began trying to get my attention by pushing my bed as I tried to sleep. That was it, I was out of there, and only had one room left to go. Luckily, the last room up there was totally free of any negativity or entities.

But that didn't change the activities of the spirits in other rooms of my floor. Like the warriors in the middle room. They scared the crap out of me. Just when I was trying to go to sleep, they went to town stomping towards my door, really loudly. I knew they were warriors because one night,  the stomping got so loud I became angry, and decided to go yell at them. As I stepped out of my room, I saw a faint image of warriors with spears charge towards me, and vanish just as I thought they were going to smash into me. I only saw that vision once, but that was more than enough.

The basement was worst of all. Just opening the door could flood me with such negativity I vomited on more than one occasion. Good thing there was a bathroom directly on the other side of the door. The absolute worst thing my Mom could ask of me, was to get some bread out of the freezer in the basement. Along with overflowing with negative energy and entities, and despite the fact that with the exception of a few appliances, it was completely infested by vermin. When I opened the door, along with being almost paralyzed with fear, it was even worse because I could hear the very loud sound of what sounded like hundreds of them scattering...then silence. Ick! It was so scary that I couldn't go down. Instead, I learned to open the freezer (directly under the stairs) with my foot, and took out the bread with my toes, never leaving the stairs once.

Luckily for me, my Mom eventually married a long time Witch. That's how I was introduced to Witchcraft. This ritual was passed down to from him to me. After he performed this ritual in every room in the house, I never felt any negativity again...ever!  In other words, it worked. So here it is.

The first thing you must do, is physically clean every square inch of the effected area with a mixture of very warm water, you choice of cleaning solution, and lot's of salt. I don't know why, but as my step father/Witch taught me, salt is like poison to negativity of any kind. As you clean, keep your mind on the fact that you are clearing away negativity of ANY KIND. The best, and easiest way to do this is come up with some sort of chant you can say, or repeat in your mind as you clean. It doesn't have to be elaborate, something like "With these actions and words that bind, I clear out negativity of any kind." But those are my words, try to come up with your own. Clean EVERYTHING, wash the windows, floor, vacuum, if the walls are really dirty, wash them or paint over it, curtains, mats the works. Wash ornaments,  bedding...everything. This is a big job, so if you're lazy, don't even bother. A half assed job won't do the trick. If you are just trying to clear away the feeling of bad negativity, a good cleaning should do the trick. If you're trying to rid a space of any sort of spirits and/or entities...keep reading.

Before you even consider attempting to do the ritual below, it is absolutely imperative that you have absolutely NO feelings of fear....whatsoever!  You must realize that they are interfering on YOUR plane of existence, where they do not belong. Sometimes the only way to stop being afraid is to get angry. Get angry at what it/they've done to scare or disturb you, and anyone else that's living there. I repeat, they are interfering on YOUR plane of existence, and it/they have no right being there. So don't get scared, get mad. Be fearless, and you'll easily get rid of them, and have a sparkling clean room as well .

And like spells, you must have only one thought going through your mind. That you DEMAND these energies or entities to leave, NOTHING else. So please don't take this ritual lightly. You will need a large bowl of very warm water. Dissolve 3 heaping tablespoons of salt into it and stir it up until all the salt has evaporated. And 3 tablespoons of it is used as 3 is a magickal number, in Wicca, it stands for the 3 aspects of life, Maiden, Mother, Crone, or, Young Man, Father, Crone.

Take the bowl and go to every affected area. Say something like the following chant in a very stern and powerful voice. You have to let these entities know you are not scared, and you mean business! As you say your chant, dip your power hand (the one you use for writing), in the salt water, and vigorously flick it around, below and above the affected area, over and over, as you repeat something like this:

Repeat your chant until you feel the negativity, or entity's are completely gone. If you feel like they're there the next day, repeat the process (skipping the cleaning part). For particularly nasty entities/energies, you may have to perform this ritual everyday for up to a week. If the area starts to feel negative, or you start to feel or notice entities again, then repeat this process. Believe me, you'll know when the 'nasties' are gone. And this ritual has never failed me. After doing this, I suggest burning a large amount of a equal mixture of ground up lavender and sage on a combustible charcoal block. That way you can really burn a lot...I'm talking enough to set off your smoke detector, so take the battery out before you do this, just remember to put it back in once the smoke clears. No batteries in a smoke detector can equal possible death, so DON'T forget to put the batteries back in.

If you don't have sage and lavender, you can use stick incense of frankincense and myrrh, a smudge stick of sage & cedar, and lot's of other things. Look in my Herbs, Oils, Incense, etc section for more herbs. These herbs clear away negative energies, and the lavender and sage brings about a feeling of peace and warmth. Remember that rosemary always works in a pinch. Good luck, and don't worry. Everyone that's ever used this ritual successfully got rid of even the worst 'nasties'.
