Gather small branches
of Autumn leaves. Hang the leaves upside down and allow to dry. Using a
small vase, gently and carefully arrange the leaves until it looks 'just
right'. For a variation on the theme, use a clear vase like in the picture,
and fill the bottom with sand, or even better, gather a bunch of induvidually,
colourful leaves. Allow to dry, gently crush into little pieces about the
size of a 1/4th of a penny. Pour the sand or crushed leaves into bottom
of the vase. This not only adds beauty to the arrangement, but makes it
easier to keep the leaves to stay in one place. You can add dried flowers
to the arrangement as well. Your design is only limited by your imagination.
This arrangement can be kept up year round. It's a wonderful addition to
any room to give it a more 'earthy' look.
