Bath Salts
 
 

Bathing is one of life's simple pleasures. Bath salts are a wonderful way to not only enhance the experience, but bring meaning to it. Here you will learn the remarkably simple process of making your very own bath salts. I've also included recepies for you to use.
 

How To Make Bath Salts

Base Ingredients and Proportions:

3 parts Epson salts
2 parts baking soda
1 part table salt
*before adding salt to the base set it aside so you can add colouring and essential oils to it first.

Mix well. You're now ready to create a variety of bath salts. If your planning on making more than one type of bath salt at a time, just separate the mixture into the equal portions to the amount of types you are making and set aside.

Colouring Salts

Colour adds a powerful visual element to bath salts. Food colouring found in your local grocery store is all you need. Add it drop by drop to the salt. When making a colour such as green (which requires more than one colour) mix them together in a spoon first before adding to the salt. The darker colours require more drops of colour than lighter ones. Add to salt and mix until it is evenly distributed.
 

Adding Essential Oils to Salt

Add the oils drop by drop, one at a time just as you did the colours. This process can take half an hour or longer depending on the amount of salts your making. The more scent you use, the less bath salt you will need in your bath. I recommend making them very fragrant. Mix with a spoon or with hands for very large batches. As always, visualize the purpose or intent you are making your salt for and saturate them with your personal power.

Enjoying your Bath Salts

Always clean your tub before adding any salt or sachet to your bath.Different books recommend adding specific amounts to your bath. I just go by my instincts.Using an an appropriate coloured candle to your purpose adds an extra boost and creates a lovely atmosphere.

The Recipes

* The proportions here, though for essential oils, are by parts. One part may equal 6 drops. Generally speaking, there shouldn't be more than 10 total drops of essential oil per half cup of bath salts. Experiment to find what works best for you. Enjoy :)

*When colour is listed as white, it means that no colouring is necessary in the mixture.

Earth Bath (Elemental)

4 parts Patchouly
3 parts Cypress
1 part Vetivert
Colour : Green

For use in attuning with the Earth, or for spells involving money, foundation, stability, creativity, fertility, ecology and so on.

Air Bath (Elemental)

3 parts Lavender
2 parts Rosemary
1 part Peppermint
1 part Bergamot Mint Bouquet
Colour : Yellow

Use to attune with the powers of Air, for divination, theorization, aiding the memory, concentration, clear thinking, visualization and study.

Fire Bath (Elemental)

3 parts Frankincense
2 parts Basil
2 parts Juniper
1/2 part Orange
Colour : Red

For use in attuning with the element of Fire, or for rituals involving strength, courage, passion, lust and so on.

Water Bath (Elemental)

2 parts Camomile
2 parts Yarrow
1 part Ylang -Ylang
1 part Palmarosa
Color : Blue

Use for attuning with the element of Water, or for love, psychic awareness, friendships, healing and so on.

Circle Bath

3 parts Rosemary
2 parts Myrrh
2 parts Sandalwood
1 part Frankincense
Colour : Purple

Bathe in Circle Bath before any form of magical working to strengthen, purify and prepare yourself for ritual.

Exorcism Bath

3 parts Frankincense
3 parts Sandalwood
2 parts Rosemary
1 drop of Clove
Colour : White

Bathe in this mixture for a heavy psychic cleansing. Splash fresh water over your body (or shower) after the bath. Do not add more than 1 drop of clove as it can irritate the skin.

Flowery Love Bath

3 parts Palmarosa
2 parts Lavender
1 drop Rose
Colour : Pink

Bathe in this to attract love and expand your ability to give and receive love. Note: 1 drop rose was specified due to it's high cost. More can be added if desired: rose absolute can be used in place of palmarosa.

High Awareness Bath

3 parts Cedarwood
2 parts Sandalwood
1 part Frankincense
Colour : Purple

Bathe in this mixture to direct you consciousness toward higher things, to promote spirituality and to combat Earth - obsessions such as uncontrolled spending, overeating, sluggishness and all forms of unbalanced materialism.


Purification Bath

3 parts Geranium
2 parts Rosemary
1 part Frankincense
Colour : White

Bathe in this blend to purify body, spirit and soul.

Protection Bath

3 parts Rosemary
2 parts Frankincense
1 part Lavender
Colour : White

Bathe in this mixture daily to strengthen you psychic armor and to stave off all manner of attacks - physical, mental, spiritual, psychic and emotional.


Psychic Bath

4 parts Yarrow
1 part Bay
Colour : Light Blue

Use this blend in baths to strengthen your psychic awareness.
