Fun
Craft Project
This was something we did in
grade 6 for Christmas, but we could easily adapt it for Yule or just 'any
old time'.
Paper
Stained Glass Window submitted by Ceilidh
-
black construction paper
-
multi-coloured tissue paper
-
scissors
-
glue
-
X-acto knife ***supervision required
for the kids!***
Leaving about a 1" frame around
all sides, cut a matching design into two sheets of construction paper
with an X-acto knife. You could make a particular design (moon & stars,
Yule wreath, etc...) or just abstract shapes. Make sure your design is
still attached to the outside frame. Then glue pieces of tissue paper to
one of the black sheets, with different colours in different segments.
When dry, glue the other black sheet on top and hang it in a window. The
sun shining through the tissue paper gives a beautiful stained-glass effect.
