Totem Animal Traits

Animals, birds, even insects play a large role in Native belief systems. It is believed these creatures have special traits. They are also the messengers of important messages about life. Depending on which belief system, a person can have up to 9 totem animals. These creatures can also be contacted in the spirit realm, through meditation. If you want to know what your totem animal/s is, look around you and see if you are seeing any particular creatures lately, or which one/s seem to elude your personal spirit and pick your own.
