Any kind of dish will do as long as you like it. I got the urge to put a few sea shells in mine, so I did it without questioning why, I also added a pinch of salt as well. When those kinds of feelings come over you should always follow them. They are messages from guides that are watching over you. Depending on how dry or humid the air is where you live, and the size of the dish, you may have to keep changing the water several times, specially if your wishing well is small like mine. But I think it's a lovely addition to any altar. It takes no time to make at all! Just clean the dish of your choice, fill with charged water, and start using your change to make wishes every now and then. Change the water if it becomes cloudy or evaporates too much. I say this little chant whenever I use my wishing altar. You're welcome to as well. Just don't put it on your web site please.
"With this
dish
I imbue
The power
to make
My wishes
come true!
Penny, nickel,
quarter, dime
They will
come true
Time after
time!
I charge
this coin
With my
wish
and drop
it in
my altar
dish!
Penny, nickel,
quarter, dime
They will
come true
Time after
time!"
May all your wishes come true....Celeste Moondancer
