What Is reflexology?
Reflexology is a focused pressure technique, usually directed at the feet or hands. Reflexology is based on the principle that there are zones and reflexes on the feet and hands which correspond to, and are relative to, various body parts, glands, and organs.
Zone Theory, the foundation of Reflexology, is an understanding of body zones as a system for organizing relationships between various parts of the body and their relevant reflexes.
Reflexology can help:
relax the body and remove stress;
enhance circulation;
assist the body to normalize metabolisms in a natural way;
complement all other healing modalities.
Reflexologists are not doctors. They do not:
diagnose medical conditions, unless qualified to do so;
prescribe medications, unless qualified to do so;
treat for specific conditions, except in emergencies;
work in opposition to the medical or other fields;
encourage the client to stop taking his or her prescribed medication.
