Tim Wellstead’s Condor Fine Books, was a busy place at 12:30 pm,
January 1st, 2008, as the building was designated a Heritage site and also
to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band’s
roots, practicing here on this site. Many townsfolk, the Mayor, Kincardine
Scottish Pipe Band members and Dave Walsh, owner of the building, were present
for the dedication ceremony. When I grew up as a teenager in the 50’s, this
building was rented as Caruso’s Fruit Market. Now it is a thriving, privately
owned bookstore, that provides hours of reading enjoyment for town citizens and
