March 29th, 2012 - Public Open House being hosted by Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. (Enbridge).
It will be held on March 29th, 2012 at Sir John A. Macdonald Collegiate Institute, 2300 Pharmacy Avenue. You may drop in at anytime between 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm.
Enbridge wishes to install a 36-inch high pressure natural gas distribution pipeline. As per the information/map provided in the "Notice of Commencement and Public Open Houses", it would be installed from Steeles Avenue to Sheppard Avenue using the Hydro Green Belt.
If you have questions about the safety, maintenance and other issues regarding the pipe line, you would have an opportunity to have them addressed by Enbridge at the Open House.
I endeavour to e-mail you when I feel that an item may be of importance/interest to the community. I felt that this issue may be of interest to you.
Best Regards,

Tuesday March 27th, 2012 - CAC Outreach Meeting
Discussion on Hospital Services for children in our Community
All parents and students are welcome and encouraged to participate in an open discussion about the Scarborough Hospital (TSH).
The meeting is sponsored by the Community Advisory Council (CAC) of the hospital.
Time: 7:00 to 9:00 PM
Location: Gymnasium at Kennedy P.S. (20 Elmfield )
Guests: Dr John Wright , CEO and President of TSH
Stephen Smith, Chairman of the Board at TSH
The objective of the meeting will be to have an open dialogue with parents/students about services offered by The Scarborough Hospital at both General and Birchmount Campus. The Hospital wants to hear how they can better serve the young population of children and babies.
This is a unique opportunity to provide feedback to your local hospital and to have a say in future services tailored to your needs.
Similar meetings with seniors were highly attended and appreciated over the past year.
This notice will be circulated widely to students and parents at Kennedy PS and also at other schools in the area. School principals have shown great interest in this initiative and hopefully, we will receive input from many students, parents, teachers or members of our Community at large on Services for Children at both campuses of The Scarborough Hospital.
We hope that you will be able to join us.
