FIRM DESCRIPTION
Gordon M. Pape Architect is a design
and service oriented architectural firm, experienced in commercial,
residential, institutional and industrial architecture, as well
as in renovations and restorations to historical buildings.
Our goal is to create flexible,
useful and meaningful environments that respond to our client's
requirements and enhance the context in which a building is located.
Our work explores the dynamic between
new and existing construction; between supporting and supported
elements; between solid and void; and between transparency and
opacity. Our objective is to make modern design creative, pertinent,
accessible and affordable.
The firm believes in creating an
active, collaborative partnership between client and architect,
so that both parties can contribute the maximum of their expertise
to achieve the best possible results.
We use fully integrated 3D computer
modelling software to develop easily understandable design solution
options and to control costs from the initial conceptual stages
of a project.
Gordon Pape received the degrees
of Bachelor of Environmental Studies (1983) and Bachelor of Architecture
(1985) from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He has
taught 3D computer modelling at the University of Toronto.
