With this visualization plug in I attempt to really illustrate music with colors.
The module uses six colors: Red for low tones, then Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue - up to Magenta for high tones.
While the task seems easy, since RealOne offers the Fourier spectrum of the music, in reality is quite difficult to achieve because each melody uses different instrument and voices.
To solve this problem I have used an algorithm based on neural networks, which continuously adapts the band-pass filters for each color.
The module is stereo and randomly moves twelve spots. The color, diameter and intensity are dictated by the pitch and intensity of the music.
I've been using several technologies to trim the output as close as possible to the sound:
- Contrast (enhance the difference between notes),
- Balance (enhance the difference between channels when playing stereo),
- Harmony (eliminate the harmonics of bass instruments),
- Normalize (auto adapt to the max volume of each note)
- and - of course - Auto Adaptive Filters using a neural net to follow the style of each melody.
