Plugging in

In 1995, the media still thought “The Net” was a fad. We thought differently and saw an opportunity to connect people to their families and friends. We witnessed the joy they felt when communication barriers were taken away.

From the home to the office

As a business helping people connect to each other, we saw a new opportunity to enable businesses to connect to their customers. We started out with dial up connections and moved to faster, more reliable internet as our clients embraced web commerce, instant messaging and multimedia. We offered T1 and DSL and then quickly moved to faster options like fibre, wireless broadband and MPLS.

…to inside the office. More than just modems.

We listened to our clients when they told us that doing more, faster was only part of what they needed. As businesses became more reliant on technology, managing that technology became important. This meant a different breed of service. It meant handling the technology beyond the edge, installing, configuring and managing network gear and desktops. The result? A world-class suite of 24/7/365 managed services and product support with service level guarantees audited and held to task by stringent third-party audits that earned us a world-first ISO 9002 certification for service providers.

Everything under one roof

As the 2000s rolled in, we innovated with new, fully managed services. We launched colocation, disaster recovery, IP telephony and collaboration services. We invested heavily in online portals with real-time statistics and account management. We built out our infrastructure so we could offer clients everything under one roof and the in-house attention they needed.

Staying up, all the time

Uptime and security have become an increasing concern. Downtime isn’t acceptable. And so in 2009, we opened the first Canadian Tier III data centre in Markham, Ontario, bringing our clients reliable and secure colocation services. We led the way as one of the first cloud service providers in Canada, offering our private, managed CloudPath solutions to companies across North America. We implemented our cloud with the same approach to redundancy, responsive service and relevant managed help that brought us this far.

Staying ahead

Recently, we expanded our Tier III data centre and compliance suite to meet upcoming demands. We’re now SOC 2 Type II, SOC 2 Type I, CSAE 3416, certified. Our clients can rest assured that our operations are fully available, secure and private.
