Blending Oils & Recipes

Just like herbs, oils can be used in numerous ways. As with all magickal intentions, charging them with personal power and visualization are key to your success. They can be added to baths, used to anoint candles or the body, rubbed into gemstones or simply inhaled among other things. Although essential oils can be expensive they're well worth the cost, and a small bottle or vile can go a long way. There are of course instances where synthetics must be used (musk for example) or a few fragrances that are not available in essential form, but for all others synthetics are not recommended.  If you are just beginning your collection of oils and aren't sure which ones to buy, I suggest browsing through the various recipes listed below. Make note of the ones that you are interested in making and begin purchasing the ones which appear the most in the recipes that apply to you.
 

Assemble the oils called for in a recipe. In a clean, sterilized jar, add 1/8 cup of one of the following vegetable oils: safflower, sunflower, coconut, apricot kernel, jojoba, almond, hazelnut, grapeseed, olive (preferably extra virgin).

Using an eye dropper or the single drop dispensers included on virtually every bottle of true essential oil, add the oils according to the recipe.

Swirl the oils into the base oil, don't stir. Gently rotate the oil in a clockwise direction.

Then, store all oils away from heat, light and moisture in an airtight, opaque or dark colored glass bottles. Don't forget to label them including the date.


Recipes

These recipes are listed in suggested proportions. They aren't written in stone, so feel free alter them by adding small amounts of the other oils. Just remember that the first ingredient (the one with the most suggested drops) is generally meant to be the main scent you smell.
 


Elemental Oils

Air Oil

Wear to invoke the powers of Air and to promote clear thinking, for travel spells, and to overcome addictions.

Earth Oil

Wear to invoke the powers of the Earth to bring money, prosperity, abundance, stability and foundation.

Fire Oil

Wear to invoke the powers of Fire, such as energy, courage, strength, love, passion and so on.

Water Oil

Wear to promote love, healing, psychic awareness, purification etc.

 

Various Oils

Altar Oil

Anoint the altar with this oil at regular intervals, calling your Deity (Deities) to watch over it.

Anointing Oil

Use for general ritual anointing purposes.

Aphrodite Oil

Add the true essential oils and the orris root to an olive oil base. Anoint your body to bring a love into your life. (Do not think of a specific person!!!)

Astral Travel Oil

Anoint the stomach, wrists, back of neck and forehead. Lie down and visualize yourself astrally projecting.

Business Success Oil

Anoint the hands, cash register, business card or the front door of the place of business to increase cash flow.

Citrus Purification Oil

Anoint white candles and burn in the home to purify it, or add to bath for the same effect.


Energy Oil

Wear when felling depleted, when ill, or just to strengthen your own energy reserves. Especially useful after heavy magical rituals to recharge your bodily batteries.

Fast Money Oil

Wear, rub on to hands, or anoint green candles to bring money. Also anoint money before spending to ensure its return.

Healing Oil

Wear to speed healing.

Initiation Oil

Use for mystic initiation ceremonies and also to increase your awareness of the spiritual realm.

Interview Oil

Wear to interviews of all kinds to calm you. Helps make a favorable impression.

Moon Oil

Wear to induce psychic dreams, to speed healing, to facilitate sleep, to increase fertility and for all Lunar influences. Also wear at the time of the Full Moon to attune with its vibrations.

Peace Oil

Wear when nervous or upset to calm you down. Stand before a mirror, and while looking into your eyes, anoint your body.

Protection Oil

Wear for protection against all kinds of attacks. Also anoint windows, doors and other parts of the house to guard it.

Psychic Oil

Wear to increase psychic powers, especially when working with rune stones, quartz crystal spheres and other such tools.

Sleep Oil

Anoint the temples, neck, pulses of both wrists and  soles of the feet to bring on natural sleep.

Visions Oil

Anoint the forehead to produce psychic awareness.

Wealth Oil

Wear to attract wealth in all forms. Also anoint candles and burn while visualizing.
