"The saddest thing is if at the end of your life you say 'I wish I did' or 'Why didn't I?' You have to go after it with full gusto in life, whatever it is, go after the stupidest whim, because you pass by once." - Gene Simmons

Next thing I know I'm rehearsing with them. And next thing I'm in a hotel room with my daughter and I'm going You're not gonna believe this, but I'm gonna go up and sing, and you gotta go down look at the stuff and she was blown away. She was like Wow dad. Even though she's seen gold records on the wall and pictures of the guys, and the old movies and the old videos, it was nothing like the real deal. It was really cool."

1. Paul Stanley . . . 2. statue of Paul . . . 3. statue of Ace . . . 4. Kiss at the Intrepid . . . Ace Frehley on the MTV Unplugged reunion: "I was very excited. The fact that I wasn't able to play some of my more intricate solos on the acoustic guitar due to the limitations, that was a bummer, but other than that it was fantastic. The vibe was there. Working with the guys after 15 years was a big thrill, and I think it was the beginning of this whole thing."

1. Gene . . . 2. statue of Gene . . . 3. Gene at convention . . . 4. & 5. Kiss at convention . . . Paul Stanley on the new reunion tour's stage show: "Well we can tell you about the stage show, but if we tell you the surprises then guess what. It wouldn't be a surprise. So, the stage show is everything that everyone has come to expect from us. The drums will go up 30 or 40 feet in the air. Gene's gonna spit blood and fly. I'm gonna break guitars. Ace is gonna have smoking guitars. We're gonna go out over the audience with platforms. We're gonna do 20-25 songs. All the stuff you wanna hear. It's gonna be like a Kiss show on steroids. It's gonna be a KISS show, but 10 times more. It's gonna live up to everything we did in the past, and then it's gonna obliterate it. It's gonna be a cool show."

1.Kiss at convention . . . 2. & 3.Kiss . . . Paul Stanley on what are Kiss' plans after the reunion tour: "If we spend a lot of time thinking about where we're gonna be a year or two down the line, that means that we're not spending enough time thinking about today. We started doing this again when we got together and saw how much fun it was and that the chemistry was there. Because if we weren't feeling good about playing with each other, you can put as many smoke bombs, as many light shows, as many hydraulic lifts on stage, and everybody's gonna see through it. The bottom line is as long as we like what we're doing and we're having a great time, we can keep going forward. But we're not gonna look too far into the future. We're gonna take this a day at a time and make it as great as we can for you, and for us."

1.Kiss (1974) . . . 2.Hotter Than Hell (1974) . . . 3.Dressed To Kill (1975) . . . Paul Stanley on what is happening to Bruce and Eric with the reunion: "We just finished with Bruce and Eric, probably the strongest studio album we've done in quite some time, and we delivered it to the record company. However, everything's being put on hold right now while we do this. Bruce and Eric in the best way, really gave this their blessing. And obviously, in a perfect world for them, they would rather be out on tour. But they also felt that this was something that was too important. It's the foundation of why we're still around today. I mean, there wouldn't be a KISS today unless we had started this when we did. And they gave it their blessing. And they'll be rooting for this. And I had dinner with Eric last week. And Bruce - Gene sees him. I know that Ace has spoken to him about some computer stuff. So they're great guys. And they're there and they're cheering it on."

1.Alive (1975) . . . 2.Destroyer (1976) . . . 3.Rock And Roll Over (1976) . . . Paul Stanley on why Kiss took off the makeup: "I think what made us take off the makeup - You know, I think by the time we took off the makeup, we felt, as we do today, that we can't do anything unless we believe in it 100%, and by the time we took off the makeup, we felt that to keep the makeup on, we'd be going through the motions. It would become a costume that wouldn't be genuine anymore. We felt that it didn't reflect who we were anymore, and we couldn't do it honestly. There's nothing more transparent than seeing a band on stage that doesn't believe in what they're doing."

1.Love Gun (1977) . . . 2.Alive II (1977) . . . 3.Double Platinum . . . Paul Stanley on the breakup of the original members: "It no longer really reflected who we were. What made us break up? Fame. Drugs. Alcohol. Women. All those kind of things. You know when you have people around you - your own little camp of people who are telling you how great you are, or that you're the reason the band is as big as it is. You sometimes forget that those people are on salary and that's why they're telling you that."

1.Ace Frehley (1978) . . . 2.Gene Simmons (1978) . . . 3.Paul Stanley (1978) . . . Paul Stanley on the reunion: "And the cool thing today is that we're all here looking at each other and going This is really cool. Let's do it again and let's not re-create the past. That's not what this is gonna be about. This is about picking up where we left off. The new show is not a copy of an old show. It's based on what we did before, but it's absolutely the next step."

1.Peter Criss (1978) . . . 2.Dynasty (1979) . . . 3. Gene . . . Paul Stanley on how tough Peter was: "Peter was real interesting back then. Peter would have a bodyguard with him and as soon as Peter knew the bodyguard was there, he'd be yelling Let me at that guy! Let me at that guy! (laughs all around). As long as there was some big guy behind him, he'd be yelling C'mon let me at him."

1.You Wanted The Best, You've Got The Best! (1996) . . . Kiss on what's always in their refrigerator: Gene - "Ice", Paul - "Old food", Peter - "Cat food", Ace - "Food and drink", Eric Singer - "Milk" and Bruce Kulick - "Juice".

1. Gene's heartburn problem . . . 2. promotional picture for reunion tour (1996) . . . Paul Stanley on the new reunion tour's stage show: "We're using all kinds of modern technology, but we're making sure that technology doesn't drown us. It's real easy to put together a show that looks like a Vegas revue. This is gonna be a rock n roll show that's gonna knock you on your pretty little butt."
