"The saddest thing is if at the end of your life you say 'I wish I did' or 'Why didn't I?'. You have to go after it with full gusto in life, whatever it is, go after the stupidest whim, because you pass by once." - Gene Simmons

CONCERT REVIEWS:

"Wondering when Meatloaf is going to be touring again. I saw him play in Buffalo, NY and thought the concert was fantastic. I definitely want to see him again!" - Review by Glenn Sahli from Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada

"Meat Loaf came into Toronto on July 31st, 1996 and played a sold out concert. He played a 2 hour concert without an opening act. He had control of the audience from beginning to end. A great evening was had by all. It's too bad he didn't take the lead of the phantom in the long running Phantom Of The Opera play in Toronto when it was offered him." - Review by Omega from Toronto, Ontario, Canada

CD REVIEWS:

Welcome To The Neighborhood (1995) CD Review: This is a great CD containing 12 songs or stories. The insert booklet presents the lyrics in a story format. My favourite track is Original Sin. The other tracks are: Where The Rubber Meets The Road, I'd Lie For You (And That's The Truth), 45 Seconds Of Ecstasy, Runnin' For The Red Light (I Gotta Life), Fiesta De Las Almas Perdidas, Left In The Dark, Not A Dry Eye In The House, Amnesty Is Granted, If This Is The Last Kiss (Let's Make It Last All Night), Martha and Where Angels Sing."...Review by Omega from Toronto, Canada

GRAPHICS & QUOTES:

Date and place of birth: Sept. 27, 1951, in Dallas.

"People take pictures of me live, and they see the sweat, and sometimes they get me confused with Ozzy Osbourne. Although they loved him for a minute until he bit the head off a bat."

"My epitaph should read: I told you I was sick."

Meat Loaf did not gloat at all about his second coming in 1993, and he does not assume that his latest album, "Welcome to the Neighborhood," will be an automatic best seller, either. He's aiming, primarily, to meet his own rather exacting standards. "I think the album is good," he says, "and the response to the first single `I'd Lie For You (And That's the Truth)' is outstanding. Every song had to be 100 percent."

The Boston Globe, Friday November 24, 1995

"They're scared to death of me!" growls Meat Loaf, from his couch in a suite at a Boston hotel. "The corporate world is frightened!"...

(The Boston Globe, Friday November 24, 1995)

Meat Loaf appeared in revue with John Belushi, acted in Hair and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and had offers for Death Wish, The Taking of Pelham 123 and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...

Over 20 record companies rejected Bat Out Of Hell, which went on to become the third most successful LP of all time. It has never been out of the charts since its release in 1978, and has attracted 22 lawsuits.
