"The saddest thing is if at the end of your life you say 'I wish I did' or 'Why didn't I?'. You have to go after it with full gusto in life, whatever it is, go after the stupidest whim, because you pass by once." - Gene Simmons

Winnipeg was the city I grew up in, which is something I am quite proud of. It is smack dab in the centre of the North American continent.
I attended the University of Manitoba. The largest of the two universities in Winnipeg. The first year I was in the faculty of Administrative Studies (Commerce), just to get some business background and then switched in my second year to the faculty of Science to major in Computer Science.

The University of Winnipeg is the other university in the city.

"Do you know of a website that presents on the City of Winnipeg's riverbank reclamation policy?" - Question by Roger from Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada.
Omega:
The only page that I know that discusses it is at: http://www.mbnet.mb.ca/city/html/govern/corporateframework/chapter_3.htm I hope it has the information you need.

"does the winnipeg arena have a website???" - Question by Sue and Dick.
Omega:
I do not believe they maintain a web site but you can contact them at: 1430 Maroons Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, R3G-0L5 or you can call them at (204) 982-5400

"Ok ...it's me again...hehehehe. I know this question sounds kind of out there...but would you happen to know a Gino Freitas? He has a brother Joe...i think Joe has a different name. When i was home...i dated a few portugese men. I would really like to get a hold of Gino when i come visit in June. Just to see how he is doing. Gosh...i used to hang out at the pool hall across from the Health Sciences Centre...then i got a job at the Hospital and my portugese friends were just down the street!!! Thank you" - Comments by Sue Woodson from Seattle, Washington, U.S.A..
Omega:
I do not know of a Joe or Gino Freitas but if anyone out there can help out Sue, drop me an E-Mail. This also reminds me of someone who I have always wondered what happened to. If anyone knows what has come of June Billski who lived on Furby, please drop me an E-Mail.

"I am trying to find the legal drinking age in the winnipeg area as of 3/24/99. Any help would be greatly appreciated." - Comments by Chris from ???.
Omega:
The drinking age is 18. You are an adult at 18. You can vote at 18. So it just makes sense you can drink at 18 unlike some provinces like Ontario where you have to be 19 and other parts of the world where you have to be 21. You can drink legally in Manitoba at 16 if you join the army but that is kind of a stupid reason to join.

"Hi!...Do you have any more info on the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. I would like to get their e-mail address as I would like to enroll my daughter in their summer programme, and I can't find any other info on them in the Net. Thank you," - Comments by Yvonne Koves from ???
Omega:
I do not have an email address but their snail mail address is: Royal Winnipeg Ballet, 380 Graham Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, R3C 4K2.

"Hello...my name is Sue Woodson...I have been homesick for a long while now. I lived in Alaska for 12 years and now reside in Seattle, Washington...i will be visiting WInnipeg in June...YAHOO!!! ...Oh yea...is Dean's Diner still around? (might be spelled Deen's) cuz' if they are...you need to check it out...you might even change your favorite restaurant to include this one :-) Take care" - Comments by Sue Woodson from Seattle, Washington, U.S.A.
Omega:
I do not remember that particular restaurant but if anyone out there still knows if it is still there let me know.

"I am a huge fan of Burton Cummings. For the past 30 yrs. have enjoyed the music of the Guess Who. Some of them are from the North End..." - Comments by Al from New Jersey, U.S.A.
